My quarantine bucket list | Sassy Teen

Bored at home? So am I! I have been going for my tennis practices daily and have been doing fitness along with that too, but I'm longing to go to school. But it's hard to even get out of the house. I had planned so much for 9th grade, but when you plan a lot of things to go well, they just turn out to go the other way around. But I've come up with a new strategy for the summer.  Instead of moaning about how the pandemic has changed our lifestyle completely, why not make the most out of your crucial time. That's what I've been thinking about for a long time. So, I made a list of the things that I would like to do this summer. And now, I've decided to share it with you guys. So let's get started with the list.  #1 Improving my tennis game.  With school and hobbies taking lots of my time normally, I can hardly find time to make improvements in my tennis game. But with everything closed down, I have gotten this pe

Are the Nancy Drew book series really good?

Crime, mystery, and thriller! When these three genres come together, they create an amazing story. I love to watch movies and read books based on crimes and mysteries. One of such incredible book series that I have been reading for quite some time now are the Nancy Drew series.  The unique story   Nancy Drew, an amateur teen sleuth (age 16 in the older versions and age 18 in the later versions) from River Heights, solves various crimes and mysteries with the help of her friends, Bess Marvin, George Fayne, and Ned Nickerson. Nancy lives with her father, Carson Drew, an attorney and their housekeeper, Mrs. Hannah Gruen. All the books are published under the collective pseudonym, Carolyne Keene.  My opinion about the book series Every time I read one of the book series, I don't like to move an inch from where I am sitting. I don't like anyone to disturb and distract me from the book I'm reading. Whenever I start reading, I put myself in the shoes of one of

The 5 benefits of Journaling

It's been more than a year since I've started journaling. I record my achievements, write about the day, gratitude list, hopes, dreams, secrets, to-do list, ups and do wns and much, much more in my journal. A couple of decades ago, people wrote in their journals to record their day's events and happenings, and what they learnt all along. Anne Frank's diary provides a vivid and poignant glimpse into the world of a young Jewish girl living in Nazi occupied Germany. Her diary gives an unsight about how tough life was. Diaries and jouranals should play a major role in one's life. In today's post, I bring to you the benefits/importance of journaling. One of my best morning routines is journaling. I write my goals for the day in my journal and ensure that I bring them to actualization. Writing your goals is really important. So without further ado, let's get to know more about the world of journaling. The benefits of journaling

6 ways to rejuvenate yourself

Rejuvenation  The other day, I was finding the meaning for rejuvenation  in a dictionary. It said, rejuvenation means 'the process of making (someone or something) look or feel better, younger, or more vital.' True! Before starting, I would like to share a story with all of you. Samantha was walking in the forest when she came upon a guy furiously sawing a tree.  "What are you doing?" Samantha asked.  "I'm sawing down a tree," comes down the sly reply.  "How long have you been at it"? Samantha asked curiously.  "Four hours so far, but I'm really making progress," he says, sweat dripping from his chin.  "Your saw looks pretty dull," Samantha said. "Why don't you take a break and sharpen it?" "I can't, you idiot. I'm too busy sawing." Now, we all know who the real idiot here is, now, don't we? If the guy were to take a 15 minute break to sharpen

15 questions with the Legend - Roger Federer

An Interview with my idol over a cup of coffee.. Isn't that amazing? I will put this introduction really straight. This humble man is the best tennis player of all time, a 20 times Grand Slam Champion. He is none other than Roger Federer. Wouldn't it be stunning if you ever had a chance to interview this legend! Well, here are 15 questions that I would love to ask Roger.  1. What thoughts came to your mind after losing the championship points at both 40-15 and 40-30 against Novak Djokovic in the 5th set (8-7) at Wimbledon 2019? How have you recovered from your loss in the finals? 2. Which retired player would you like to play the final of a Major against? 3. If you get an opportunity to go in the past and correct one  mistake that you have committed, what would that be? 4. What question do you want journalists to ask you but never do? 5. When was the first time someone pointed towards you and said, "Look, that's Roger Federer"?
