6 ways to rejuvenate yourself

Rejuvenation

The other day, I was finding the meaning for rejuvenation in a dictionary. It said, rejuvenation means 'the process of making (someone or something) look or feel better, younger, or more vital.' True! Before starting, I would like to share a story with all of you.

Samantha was walking in the forest when she came upon a guy furiously sawing a tree.
"What are you doing?" Samantha asked.
"I'm sawing down a tree," comes down the sly reply.
"How long have you been at it"? Samantha asked curiously.
"Four hours so far, but I'm really making progress," he says, sweat dripping from his chin.
"Your saw looks pretty dull," Samantha said. "Why don't you take a break and sharpen it?"
"I can't, you idiot. I'm too busy sawing."

Now, we all know who the real idiot here is, now, don't we? If the guy were to take a 15 minute break to sharpen his saw, he'd probably finish three times faster.

Do you have the same problem? Do you not have time to renew yourself?
It's most important to renew the 4 main dimensions of your life - your body, your brain, your heart, and your soul. In fact, if one doesn't take time to relax and rejuvenate, stress often increases and productivity decreases. You cannot burn yourself out completely and then expect your work to be productive if you don't renew yourself.

Balance is the best. Nothing over much! It's so important to take a time out and just calm yourself down. Sometimes, we are just so focused to do one thing that we never take time out to just renew our exhausted dimensions of life. If we don't take time out, then we just end up becoming emotionally messed up.

Below I've mentioned 6 ways of rejuvenating yourself.

Meditation

⇒Meditation helps rejuvenate you. It helps you relieve any negativity that may weigh you down. Just chanting 'Om' everyday for 10 minutes will definitely be helpful. This helps to calm one's mind. Meditation also helps to focus better,  reducing depression and anxiety, and also lowers the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It helps to make a person happy, cheerful, and leads to a better behaviour. Meditation is a must for school and university students. 10 minutes every morning is all what it takes.

Journaling

⇒Yes, it is true! Journaling helps a person gain control of their emotions and improve your mental health. One of the best ways to reduce stress is to improve physical health, and journaling has been shown to reap this benefit. Journaling helps us strengthen the mind-body connection that we often neglect. Putting pen to paper supports us in large and small ways, making room for our thoughts, feelings and experiences in a tangible way. I love to write in my journal. My journal/little black book never criticizes me. It just listens. In today's crazy world, all you need is just someone (or something) to listen to you. A journal will always be there for you.

Reading

⇒Believe it or not! Reading helps one to rejuvenate oneself. Reading a book, the newspaper, or even a blog with educational value is stupendous. Reading is a great way to take your mind off from something. Reading helps you travel to a different world while you're just sitting at the same place!

A new exercise class

⇒Whether you join a spin class, workout at a gym or even jog with your friends, exercise is a good rehab for the mind and soul. And you can even lose a few inches or kilograms in the process. So, what are you waiting for?

Spending time outdoors

⇒Spending some time outdoors is a good way to renew your soul. It helps you brighten up your day. It helps you improve your mental health. Plus, adding a few steps to your day won't hurt, will it?

Sleeping

Yup, you heard it right! Sleeping is a great way to renew your body and soul. Sleep is essential for muscle repair, memory consolidation, and for regulating hormones responsible for growth and appetite. Did you know that you burn more calories while sleeping than wasting your precious time on your phone or T.V.? Uh-huh! So, why not catch your Zzz's than checking your Instagram stories.

I hope my post was helpful to you. I've practiced all of this myself before explaining it to you guys. Don't forget to:
