Bored at home? So am I! I have been going for my tennis practices daily and have been doing fitness along with that too, but I'm longing to go to school. But it's hard to even get out of the house. I had planned so much for 9th grade, but when you plan a lot of things to go well, they just turn out to go the other way around. But I've come up with a new strategy for the summer.
Instead of moaning about how the pandemic has changed our lifestyle completely, why not make the most out of your crucial time. That's what I've been thinking about for a long time. So, I made a list of the things that I would like to do this summer. And now, I've decided to share it with you guys. So let's get started with the list.
#1 Improving my tennis game. With school and hobbies taking lots of my time normally, I can hardly find time to make improvements in my tennis game. But with everything closed down, I have gotten this perfect opportunity to improve my strokes, strategies, fitness etc. It is supposed to take some time, but I'm sure that I can achieve great feats this way. Once things normalize and tournaments start being conducted in the country and outside, I'll have the perfect opportunity to showcase my skills.
#2 Learning to prioritise time. 9th Grade is really hard. That's what I have been hearing for the past couple of years. With so much on my plate to do, it's hard to find time for something else. So I've decided to make a time-table for my daily routine. And to be honest, it has been really helpful. I would even recommend making a time-table to others. If not a time-table, then just setting a morning routine could be beneficial too.
#3 Setting a productive morning routine. I have never been a real morning person ever. But setting a morning routine has really helped me to start the day in the right direction. Once my morning turns out productive, my whole day goes well. I would love to share my morning routine (during lockdown) with you guys too.
#4 Setting short-term and long-term goals. This one has been really essential. Setting long-term and short-term goals has helped me put first things first. It has a also helped me to begin with the end in mind. Writing a list for the same in a journal is really important. It defines what you want to become as you grow up and helps you make some critical decisions.
#5 Reading books. There were so many books in the house that were lying around. I had started reading them either a few months ago or a year ago but it was hard to finish them. So now I have finally gotten a chance to finish those books and start reading new ones. I have already finished reading 16 novels in 2 months and I'm looking forward to read more.
#6 Watching movies. Watching movies is the best thing about weekends. I've watched around 12 movies this month on Netflix and Amazon Prime. In my regular routine, there is hardly any time for television. But now it's gotten really easy to just switch on the television, sit back and relax.
#7 Learning something new. This is the best thing you can do for yourself. Learning a new recipe, making a fun new dance routine, or learning a new language. You can learn anything new. I have recently started learning Spanish on Duolingo and it has been incredible. One of my friends recommended it to me. And she was completely right. I actually have a knack for learning different languages. And it is gripping too.
So, this is the end of my list. Hope you liked it! Feel comfortable to borrow some points from the list too.
