25 minute beginner total body workout

Classic Beginner Workout

"All progress takes place outside the comfort zone."
So, how's quarantine treating you all? It's hard and I understand. You want to do some physical activity but can't get out of your house. Don't worry any longer!

In today's blog post, I would like to share a beginner's workout regime. But if you're looking for a hard-core workout, here's the link to my 45 minute Core Burn Workout challenge - Total Core "Burn" Workout.

Today's workout is total body workout which I would recommend for beginners in Crossfit.

So without further ado, let's begin right away!

  • Warm up : This is an important aspect which one cannot leave before starting any kinds of exercise. A proper warm up reduces the risk of injury. It helps to increase the temperature of your muscles. A proper warm up includes -
  1. Static stretching : Do some standing stretches in place to open up your muscles.
  2. Jumping or skipping : Skipping is a great way to increase your heart rate. But if you don't have a skipping rope, no problem. Jumping in place is good enough.
  3. Dynamic exercises : These exercises include butt kicks, high knees, lunges etc. These exercises are a great way to pump your heart rate.
  • Schedule (each exercise lasts for 30 seconds)
  1. Mountain climbers (30 seconds)
  2. Rest for 5 seconds
  3. Hand walk (30 seconds)
  4. Rest for 5 seconds
  5. Half burpees (30 seconds)
  6. Rest for 5 seconds
  7. Plank (30 seconds)
  8. Rest for 5 seconds
  9. Hip bridges (30 seconds)
       (Repeat the circuit 3 times).

  • Cool down : Cool down is as important as warming up. Cool down allows the heart rate to come to it's resting rate.
  • What should a proper cool down include?
Ans : A proper cool down includes 2-3 minutes of deep breathing and 5-7 minutes of stretching your target muscles. Each cool down exercise should last for 20 - 30 seconds at the maximum.
  •  Below I've added videos that teach how to do each of the exercises.
   How to do mountain climbers?

   How to do hand walks?

     How to do half burpees?

     How to do a plank?

           How to do bridges?

Introducing Me

My name is Inayat Roy  and I'm 14 years old. Since this is my very first blog post, I would like to describe my journey of how I started to blog.                    " Creativity doesn't wait for that perfect moment. It fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones." One of my classmates started blogging recently.  She shared her blogging ideas with me which I was fascinated to see. After watching her admiration for blogs based on spirituality, I was keen on starting one myself. But then came up the question - " What will I write about"? I started searching for blog ideas on the Internet, but was disappointed as I couldn't find any intriguing topics. Finally, I decided to write about my own lifestyle . What a marvellous idea! I would also like to share my views about ongoing issues that surround us in our daily lives. I want to be blogging for others to view what new they can add in their lives...

Study Tips For Exams

The months of August and September are stressful for every Indian student - school or college-going. These months bring up EXAMS. These exams mark the end of the first semester. Most of us start studying around 3 weeks before exams. But a few students prefer studying a day before their exams. It may seem as if this last minute cramming technique works but it doesn't - at all. So, it's high time to gear up and start studying! In this post, I bring to you 5 efficient study tips that will help you score great this semester.  8 Study Tips For Exams  1. Study with intervals.  This technique is recommended by most experts. If you're studying for half an hour, take a break for 5 minutes and then continue studying. If you're studying for 45 minutes or one hour, take a 10 to 15 minute break.  These short breaks help you reinvigorate your mind and start fresh. This also helps maintain focus. During this short break, you can eat a snack, take a quick shower, m...
