Starting your day early | Sassy Teen

Ever thought of going for an early morning jog for which you need to wake up at 5 in the morning? But you end up getting up at 9 (realising that you pressed the snooze button). You cannot deny the fact that you love to snooze your alarm in the mornings. I live to do that too. But after 15 minutes, I realise that I don't have any time to waste and I need to hurry up with my work. However, that doesn't sound right. I prefer waking up early and taking things a bit slower.

But the question is - how can you achieve that? In today's post, I'll give you some tips and tricks that will help you to wake up earlier than usual and start your day on a high note. It'll be hard in the beginning. But when things start working, you'll love these methods.

5 tricks to wake up early!

1. Say NO to drastic changes. This is the first thing to remember to wake up early. If you normally wake up at 8 in the morning, don't expect yourself to be up in bed at 5 the next day. Try making small changes. Practically, only 10 to 15 minutes each day. If you usually wake up at 8, try 7:45 the next day. Then 7:30. And the day after that, maybe 7! But remember to go slow. You don't want your sleep pattern to be erratic.

2. Put your alarm in the corner. Putting your alarm at the other end of the room can be a menace sometimes. But it'll really help you get out of your bed. When you realise that the snooze button is away from you, you would definitely have to get out of bed to shut it off. Hence, you're awake!

3. Drink water. Before going to bed, always remember to keep a bottle or glass of water on your bedside. When your alarm goes off in the morning, sit straight and drink water. Water helps refresh you and it'll help your eyes see a little clearly which will make you get out of bed.

4. Stretch in bed. I'm not suggesting you to do yoga before getting out of bed. Just some light stretching! Stretch your hands, arms, legs and your neck. This is going to be very helpful. It'll help you stay awake and not go back to sleep.

P.S. Make sure not to do any vigorous stretching just as you wake up. I'm sure you don't want to injure a limb or pull a muscle.

5. Let the light in. Once you're out of bed, the first thing to do is let the light in. Open the curtains in your room and take a peak outside. Once you have a look at the sunshine, you're unlikely to fall back to sleep (unless you haven't slept for 3 whole nights).

I hope you found this article helpful. These are 5 key tricks to get up early and start your day on a high note. Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!

Introducing Me

My name is Inayat Roy  and I'm 14 years old. Since this is my very first blog post, I would like to describe my journey of how I started to blog.                    " Creativity doesn't wait for that perfect moment. It fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones." One of my classmates started blogging recently.  She shared her blogging ideas with me which I was fascinated to see. After watching her admiration for blogs based on spirituality, I was keen on starting one myself. But then came up the question - " What will I write about"? I started searching for blog ideas on the Internet, but was disappointed as I couldn't find any intriguing topics. Finally, I decided to write about my own lifestyle . What a marvellous idea! I would also like to share my views about ongoing issues that surround us in our daily lives. I want to be blogging for others to view what new they can add in their lives...
