Are the Nancy Drew book series really good?

Crime, mystery, and thriller! When these three genres come together, they create an amazing story. I love to watch movies and read books based on crimes and mysteries. One of such incredible book series that I have been reading for quite some time now are the Nancy Drew series. 
The unique story 
Nancy Drew, an amateur teen sleuth (age 16 in the older versions and age 18 in the later versions) from River Heights, solves various crimes and mysteries with the help of her friends, Bess Marvin, George Fayne, and Ned Nickerson. Nancy lives with her father, Carson Drew, an attorney and their housekeeper, Mrs. Hannah Gruen. All the books are published under the collective pseudonym, Carolyne Keene. 

My opinion about the book series
Every time I read one of the book series, I don't like to move an inch from where I am sitting. I don't like anyone to disturb and distract me from the book I'm reading. Whenever I start reading, I put myself in the shoes of one of the characters. I read the dialogues of each person aloud. This gives me a chance to live the story. Some of the books are so well-written that I get chills in June reading them. I love the mystery and horror in all the books. Whenever I start reading any of the novels from these series, my burdens lighten. After doing something tedious, I like to read one of these novels because this helps me get distracted and helps me get rejuvenated. If my surroundings are monotonous, I like to read one of the books from these series because of their engaging content. This helps me get busy and I often forget about lunch while reading too. 

My personal favourites
All of the books are really intriguing. But two of my favourites are Once upon a thriller (from the Nancy Drew Diaries) and The Treasure in The Royal Tower. Both the novels have their own enthralling plots and twists.

            In the book, Once upon a thriller, Nancy, along with her friends Bess and George visits Avondale for a weekend trip. When they visit the local bookstore in Avondale, they find it in flames. From that point, Nancy and her friends find themselves in the middle of another mystery. But it seemed like that the mysteries in one of the bestselling author, Lacey O'Brien's books were coming alive: first, the fire; next, a sinking boat; and then, a missing statue. Were these innocent coincidences or chilling crimes? Here is the link to the first 10 books in the Nancy Drew diaries.

In the book, The Treasure in The Royal Tower, Nancy along with her besties goes for a winter vacation in Wisconsin for some skiing, skating, and snowmobiling. But soon after their arrival at the Butter Ridge Ski Resort, Nancy, Bess and George, find that a different kind of sport comes first - and it's an exercise in fear. Wickford Castle, the main lodge, is full of spine-tingling surprises and strange secrets. Here is the link to the book - Treasure in The Royal Tower.

Age rating
I would say that these books are a good read for tweens and young adults. These book series are best suitable for kids aged between 11 and 16. But can also be read by kids 7 and up. It depends on a child's level of understanding and interest in novels. Adults too could read these books. And I would really recommend it too.

    I finished reading these series a year ago. And they are fantastic! A must read. Thank you so much for the review Inayat. I would like to add up to it and say tell others that if you're not an avid reader, then start with these series. You will be really satisfied at the end. 🤗

In memory of my dog, Bruno

For a lot of people Bruno was just a mere store-bought dog, like any other pet dog. He was the most adorable and loving dog I have ever known.  Bruno was born on 25 December, 2018, Tuesday. The first time I laid eyes on him was 6 February, 2019 at 8:19 PM. Dad got him in a cage inside the house.  Little 42 days old Bruno! My sisters and I didn't know that dad was thinking of getting a dog in the house. My mom simply opposed the idea. I had been pleading for a pup for 3 years before Bruno came.  When dad got him, we kids started screaming with both joy and fright (knowing mom would say to give him back to the store owner). But how could someone give away such a little dog with his cute, tiny face and paws. I first thought of telling dad to give him away. But I never did. Because I wanted to keep him.  We got him everything we thought he might have wanted.
